Sunday we decided to take a drive up north to visit Mark's family...this was so last minute - but turned out to be a fun time to get together with the family and let the kids play!

HOT DAY FOR REIMAN GARDENS

Since I have some time off I thought it would be fun to go to Reiman Garden's - I haven't been there since I was in school and it was VERY small...the kids had a great time ...but boy was it HOT - and a workout for Mom - pushing 2 kids in our double stroller on gravel - up hills was a huge workout! But the kids were great and we spent 2 hours there...then off to Pizza Pit for a Ham and Pepperoni Sub and a Pizza to go for Dinner!!! We love that place. It was a great morning!!! The kids fell asleep on the way home and then off to the Ankeny pool to cool off...it was a great vacation day with the kids!

BUTTERFLY'S

Today on my day off I took the kids to Reiman Gardens in Ames and they have a neat Butterfly pavilion - there are so many beautiful butterfly's and the kids had a GREAT time! They thought it was pretty neat how they would land on you .... I had a big one on my back! On the way out we had to check to make sure we had no hitch hikers on us! It was fun to take pictures of them too!

Lake Mills Visit

The kids had a nice time visiting their cousins and G&G Helgeson last weekend - Daddy was playing softball in Carroll so we decided to head North! We had fun at the LM pool, dinner at Applebee's and Fireworks in Alden MN - who thought I would go to Alden to see fireworks?! But they were actually pretty good and the kids had a BALL! Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!
