I LOVE ANKENY!

Ryan and I went for a walk to Sawgrass park tonight...it was a calm beautiful night so I thought I would bring my camera along...I'm glad I did...got some neat photos of the pond and paths! Oh and of my cute little boy =)

When I take this walk it reminds me of my younger years spending time down at Milford's pond & cabin! Oh what memories!

1st Day of Kindergarten!

It is so hard to believe our little baby girl is entering Kindergarten! It feels like yesterday she was our little peanut we just brought home from the hospital. Where does the time go??? We are very excited to have her in the Ankeny school system! Her request last night was to have curly hair...so we took a good bath and put rollers in! This reminds me of when I was a little girl...my mom always did this to my hair! She was up bright and early and more than ready to start the day! She was bouncing off the walls with excitement! I took a few pictures at home with her back pack! Since they started an hour later today - I drove her over to the school and took a picture by the Crocker Elementary sign....then I dropped her off at her sitter!! It worked out great for Christi to drop her off...no issues as she was grinning ear to ear! Thanks Christi :) I did take off a couple hours early from work to pick her up....it was fun to see all the kids in a line walking out of their room...she was very excited and happy I came to pick her up! What a great 1st day! Even better she is excited for tomorrow!

Off to the school...no one was there...I did this before I headed to work! Worked out great & I think I will make this a tradition to stand by the sign!

The school is very close to our house...she even plans to walk home with a group of girls when the weather is nice!

Very happy to see me after her 1st day! I think the most popular color of dress was PINK! The majority of girls in her class were wearing pink including her teacher!

Meet the Teacher Night!

Monday night the 17th Crocker had "Meet the Teacher" night! It was a time to bring our school supplies - show the students their room, locker, library, gym, lunch room, etc! It's a neat school and she was very excited! She really liked her room and enjoyed talking to her teacher Mrs. Longnecker! It's going to be a fun and exciting year!

Manicures & Pedicures!

To kick off starting Kindergarten - my friend Dawn and I thought it would be fun if we got our girls together for a pedicure & manicure! Madeline and Morgan went to Tender Years Day Care for 5 years until we pulled Morgan from daycare and sent her to our neighbor at the beginning of Summer! Can you believe Morgan is 12 days older than Madeline?? She is so tall...but gosh these girls have fun when they get together... We wish Madeline luck as she starts Kindergarten at Ashland Ridge!

Gooseberry Falls State Park

Gooseberry Falls State Park is the most visited state park in MN. It is just north of Two Harbors MN - about 45 min north of Duluth! We picked a pretty nice day to go to the falls...the kids had a wonderful time and it was a pretty site! We spent about 2 hours there...just watching the falls. There was one fall we didn't see - it was about a mile walk...didn't think the kids could have handled that one!
